Μετά από λίγες εβδομάδες αυτού του περιστατικού στον τροχόδρομο των εγκαταστάσεων της Boeing στην Βόρεια Καρολίνα, κατά την διάρκεια ενός production flight testing

έχουμε από εχθές έκδοση ανακοίνωση του National Transportationa and Safety Board (NTSB) προς την FAA που την καλεί επειγόντως
"to take urgent action and that it require operators to accomplish repetitive fan midshaft inspections in all GE GEnx-1B and -2B engines "at a sufficiently short interval that would permit multiple inspections and the detection of a crack before it could reach critical length and the FMS fractures"
