Εγώ πιστεύω ότι θα είναι εκεί που είναι και η LH ....Οπως στο Τ1 στη FRA παρόλο που δεν είναι * alliance και στο Τ1 JFK .....Θα ήθελα να πάει στο Τ3 πάντως που είναι κατ εμε το ποιο ωραίο!!

Star Alliance Critical Of BAA

The Star Alliance has criticized BAA, the UK airport operator, for giving British Airways partial treatment while redeveloping London's Heathrow Airport, the Financial Times said on Monday.

The paper reported that the chief executives of the airlines in the Star Alliance were "incensed" by what they regard as their unequal treatment by BAA in its development of new facilities at Heathrow.

It said the executive board of Star, which includes carriers such as Lufthansa, United Airlines and Singapore Airlines, had written to BAA's chief executive Mike Clasper "to demand an early meeting to express its dismay with the manner in which Heathrow is being redeveloped."

The row has developed over BAA's building of a fifth terminal at Heathrow, set to increase the airport's capacity by about 50 percent. The terminal, due to begin operations in 2008, will be occupied almost entirely by British Airways, a leader of oneworld, a rival group of airlines.

This will allow BA to operate under one roof at Heathrow, providing a competitive advantage, particularly for transit passengers flying within its network, the paper said.

"The alliance believes BAA unfairly favors British Airways, the main operator at Heathrow that holds around 41 percent of the total take-off and landing slots at the airport. The Star airlines control about 25 percent," it said.

"The Star airlines are demanding a guarantee of parity and the provision of competitive facilities," it added.

Star Alliance member airlines are seeking a commitment by BAA that it will provide comparable facilities at an early date through the redevelopment of the existing central area of the airport and most importantly Terminal 1, where the carriers want to be co-located under one roof.
