The court in Haarlem(The Netherlands) declared Air Holland officially bankrupt today. The airline was not operational anymore, since the postponement op payment at the 10th of februar 2004.
Air Holland, mid years eighty established as a independant charter airline, has a long and uncertain history. The company went bankrupt for the first time in 1991.
What does this really mean? This really means Air Holland is not comming back. Most of Air Holland's staff went to the new airline Holland Excel.

Ίσως γιατί όσο λιγότερες εταιρίες υπάρχουν ιδίως στην Ευρώπη (μιας και αυτό μας αφορά άμεσα), τόσο λιγότερη ποικιλία θα βλέπουμε στους ουρανούς μας. Και, λέγοντας ποικιλία, εννοώ το σύνολο της κουλτούρας της κάθε εταιρίας. Δεν ξέρω αν η μόνη λύση τελικά είναι να επιβιώσουν μόνο 3-4 ονόματα στην Ε.Ε. όπως προωθείται τα τελευταία χρόνια, αλλά σίγουρα ο χώρος θα γίνεται πιο βαρετός όσο αυτό τίνει να γίνει πραγματικότητα.

Μίλησα κάπως γενικά και όχι συγκεκριμένα για την Air Holland, αλλά δεν μπορούσα, κάποια στιγμή θα τά 'λεγα...
