The Austrian Airlines Group announced on September 17th, 2003 that they have made structural changes within the group. The Austrian Airlines brand will now be referred to briefly and succintly as “Austrian”. Lauda will, in future, be considered in the Star Alliance network to be a regional airline member and Tyrolean (renamed “Austrian arrows” will become part of the Austrian Airlines Group. They are, therefore, no longer included in the present total of 14 member airlines. After LOT Polish Airlines joins the network on October 26th, 2003, the total number of member airlines will, thus, increase to 15
