μια που μιλάτε για νούμερα σας παραθέτω και ένα άρθρο που υπάρχει στην ιστοσελίδα της Skyeurope (sorry moderator, αλλά ταιριάζει στη συζήτηση), σύμφωνα με το οποίο μία και μόνο low cost έχει ανεβάσει τον τουρισμό στη Σλοβακία !!!!!

An independent research conducted by consultancy company Daidalos proves that SkyEurope Airlines, the first low cost, low fare airline in Central Europe, is one of the key factors in the dramatic development of the Slovak tourism, the transportation sector and the Slovak economy..

Facts and figures
SkyEurope Airlines impulse to airports in Slovakia
· M. R. Stefanik Airport Bratislava is the fastest growing airport of all European capitals, in terms of served passengers.
· SkyEurope market share reached share 59% in 2004, in the segment of scheduled services
· The total number of passengers served by SkyEurope in 2004 was higher than the total passenger volume of Bratislava Airport in 2001

Level of Air transport in Slovakia
· Level of Air transport in Slovakia per capita was about 5% (in 2001) of the level in Germany in year 2001

It says this is a sign of the increasingly bitter competition between the two pioneers of low-cost air travel in Europe.

Liverpool is one of easyJet's longest-established bases.

It already operates some 13 routes from there, while Ryanair has had only a limited presence until now.

The paper also says Ryanair has responded to easyJet's recent decision to move for the first time into the Republic of Ireland, Ryanair's home turf.

EasyJet is to launch three new routes from London Gatwick to Cork, Shannon and Knock in late January.

Now Ryanair has revealed it is to launch its own Gatwick to Knock service and boost its flights from Stansted to Cork and Shannon to four a day.

Απογειώθηκαν τα κέρδη της Ryanair
Η αύξηση των τιμών των εισιτηρίων σε συνδυασμό με την ενίσχυση της επιβατικής κίνησης έδωσαν σημαντική ώθηση στα κέρδη της Ryanair, της μεγαλύτερης αεροπορικής εταιρείας χαμηλού κόστους στην Ευρώπη.

Συγκεκριμένα, στο τρίμηνο Απριλίου – Ιουνίου τα κέρδη της ανήλθαν σε 69,6 εκατ. ευρώ (85 εκατ. δολ.) σημειώνοντας αύξηση κατά 31% σε σχέση με το αντίστοιχο περσινό χρονικό διάστημα. Η άνοδος αυτή υπερέβη τις προβλέψεις των αναλυτών.

Τα έσοδα της εταιρείας ενισχύθηκαν κατά 35% ανερχόμενα σε 404,6 εκατ. ευρώ από 299,6 εκατ. ευρώ.

Οχι ακομα,αποτελει υποψηφια βαση της FR,σε μια προσπαθεια να ανοιχτει στη γερμανια σε σχεση με την EZY,η οποια εχει ηδη 3 βασεις.
Η Γερμανια ειναι μια απο τις λιγες αγορες οπου η FR υστερει κατα πολυ.
