DEFINITION OF SLOTS A slot is defined as the scheduled time of arrival or departure available for allocation by, or as allocated by, a coordinator for an aircraft movement on a specific date at a fully coordinated airport.
An allocated slot will take account of all the capacity constraints at the airport, e.g. runways, aprons, terminals, etc.

THE “USE-IT-OR-LOSE-IT” PRINCIPLE – “GRANDFATHER” RIGHTS
The basic principle which the system of allocation of slots is based is the so called “use it or lose it” principle.
Only if air carriers can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the coordinator that they have operated their slots, as cleared by the coordinator for at least 80 % of the time during the period for which they have been allocated, shall be entitled to the same series of slots in the next equivalent period (historical slots). Such entitlements are also known as "grandfather rights".
The ‘use-it or lose-it’ rule is an incentive for incumbent carriers to use their slots efficiently. When slots are lost, they must be put in the pool to be allocated on a non-discriminatory basis.

Πιστεύω ότι η Τ4 θα προσπαθήσει πάλι για Φρανκφούρτη ή/και για Μόναχο. Για FRA δεν είχαν καταφέρει να πάρουν slot και μετά το slot που είχαν από MUC δεν άρεσε στην εταιρεία επειδή ήταν σε ώρα που τα αεροσκάφη πετούσαν για άλλους προορισμούς (αν το έχω σωστά στο μυαλό μου)
